The Sustainable New Agri-Food Products and Productivity (SNAPP) Program is cost-share funding for northern Ontario agriculture and food producers and businesses towards the creation of innovative food or agricultural products; productivity enhancement; or reduced ecological impact through innovation.

The Canadian Agricultural Partnership (the Partnership) provides cost-share funding support to farmers and other businesses (plant health). Funding is available for key priority areas, which include: research and innovation, economic development, environmental stewardship and protection and assurance.

Species at Risk Partnerships on Agricultural Lands

Species at Risk Partnerships on Agricultural Lands (SARPAL) is an Environment and Climate Change Canada initiative that is focused on working with farmers to support the recovery of species at risk on agricultural land. SARPAL funds conservation actions currently focused on supporting 12 target Species at Risk.

SARFIP

The Species at Risk Farm Incentive Program

The Species at Risk Farm Incentive Program (SARFIP) provides funding to agricultural landowners interested in completing habitat creation, enhancement and protection Best Management Practices (BMPs) that support species at risk. Addressing risks identified through the Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) workbook, farmers can implement practices that are beneficial for species listed as at-risk in Ontario. The range of possible activities applies to croplands, grasslands, stream banks, shorelines, wetlands and woodlands.
